This morning, the Typhoon Kujira  also knows as the Storm # 1 of 2015 has reached to Gulf of Tonkin and stop all Good Halong Bay Cruises from going out.

As the Government Weather forecast department, Kujira Storm will be hitting Gulf of Tonkin tonight, 23/6/2015 and all the Overnight cruises in Halong Bay will be banned anchoring out at the bay. It is forecast that the bay will be totally shut down for tonight and morning of tomorrow and cruises in Halong Bay can start again in tomorrow afternoon but it is not yet for sure

Customers who have chosen the cruise in advance will have some options as following:

– If customers get Halong Bay 2 days 1 night Cruise and cannot change the plan in advance, the cruise will arrange the Halong Bay in a day from Hanoi tour for the customers and reduce the price of the cruise package and return it to the customers.

– If customers get Halong 3 days 2 nights Cruise, they would be able to get the 1st day to visit Halong Bay, then stay at Halong city hotel for tonight, have tomorrow morning free and later on have time to enjoy 2 days 1 night itinerary for from tomorrow!

 The storm power is actually not much strong as it has hit Hai Nam island of China and get weaker down quite a lot. 

The storm’s center will move to Northwestwards at the speed of 10-15 kilometers in the next 12 hours, the National Hydro-meteorological Forecast Center said on its website, adding that it will gradually weaken after that. It is forcast that the storm will cause strong winds in the coastal localities of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong this evening. Heavy rains will also fall in the Northeast region in the next few days. To prevent losses, the Northern province of Quang Ninh issued fishing ban while asking offshore fishermen to seek safe shelter during the storm.
