For the Travel distance, you can also view its way to calculate as the following: Vietnam Car Rental Information.

HOW DOES THE DRIVER FIND ME AT THE MEETING POINT?
Vietnam At the airport, the driver will be holding a Card with the content: “VTT WELCOMES Mr.ABC”. The airport is very big but please notice that the driver knows exactly where you land so he will wait for you at the EXIT DOOR after the luggage room.
– For the car rental with your starting place at your hotel, our driver will come to your hotel and ask the receptionist to find you.
– When you are coming by train, our driver will be waiting for you at the Exit Gate of your train. He will be holding a card with your name.
– For the Car rental for shore excursions, please notice if your car rental included the Pick Up fee? If it does not include, you should be getting outside of the harbor where our driver will be able to wait for you. If it is included, the driver should be waiting for you at the foot of your cruise. We know that it is very ridiculous for 25$ per person for the Pick up fee at each port. But it is Vietnam where everything is possible. We can help you to avoid the fee but will need your co-operation.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I CANNOT FIND THE DRIVER?
It normally happens when you come around searching for the driver and the driver also come around to look for you. If it is over 10 minutes, in this situation, we suggest that you can make a call to the Driver mobile number or ask a local Vietnamese to do so. The Vietnamese are friendly and willing to help you with just around 2 cents call. If you cannot contact the driver, remember our hotline of: +84.988.836.118
SHOULD I TIP THE DRIVER AT THE END OF THE TRIP?
Tipping is various from culture to culture but ONLY WHEN you are satisfied with the driver work, you can give him a tip. The common tipping for the driver is from 5$-10$ for a good working day.
SHOULD I BE WORRIED WHEN THE DRIVER USES HORN SOMETIMES OR RUN TOO SLOW?
It is quite normal that nobody follow rules in Vietnam especially in the countryside. Beeping horn is a Must for driving safely here but over-use of it is another matter.
Some places you see our driver runs too slowly with 50 km/hour and you see the road is really large and empty and with 80 kms/hour would be simple: It is in fact depending on the place we drive there will be different signs. our driver is always following rules and in the city/crowded area, over speeding of 50 kms can lead to a penalty. Popularly, you will see the sign above and all driver to get down to 50 kms/hour. Finish that sign, we can speed up to 80kms/hour.
“SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU HAVE CHOICES”
Drivers will always need to stop halfway (1 hours 50 minutes drive). For your safety, it is better to get driver a strong coffee middle way. Vietnamese roads are crazy in fact. The itinerary already included with the stop of 15-20 minutes each way.
However, the shuttle bus pit-stop halfway is quite a kind of “expensive” place to shop for souvenir. So it is better to “Shop somewhere else if you have choices”. Bargaining can also be a useful technique to reduce 5-20% prices here even they say no discount.
It is a good place for a look and also for a cold beer or an ice-cream and free wash room. But definitely not for a jewelry or diamond.
Through this warning, VTT would also like to claim the responsibility free for your shopping during the journey. We do not have any relation with these halfway stops.
For private transfer, you can have a choice to stop or not. You can simply let our driver know or let us know to call our driver. It is all to your satisfaction. At least, you get warned !
“FLUENT ENGLISH SPEAKING DRIVER WHO CAN GUIDE US AROUND?”
Our driver can understand English and speak basically back but are not the one who can speak it fluently and make commentary or guide you around. It is in fact a job of a Tour Guide.
Vietnam is a country using local Vietnamese as our mother tongue. English is a foreign language and only highly trained persons could use English well. They would not be a simple driver in fact.
Our driver for your trip will understand and follow your demand, stop places you want to stop, drive you to where you want to go but please do not expect him to drive making commentary on places, introducing places to you and guide you all around. For any hard to understand cases, we suggest you to call us (or ask him to call us) for support.
