    Myson is the world heritage described as the holy Ankor of Vietnam for the Champa people from 4th to 14th century. With the 65kms distance from Hoian, this is the common destination in Hoian area for a day visit.

    ITINERARY

    08.00 or 1.30 PM:  Your guide and car will meet you at your hotel for your drive through the beautiful countryside villages and towns on our way to the ancient relics of My Son. Photo opportunities abound.

    09.00 or 3.00 PM: We arrive to the haunting sound of Cham music and stop to take in the vibrantly dressed dancers enjoying a traditional dance performance.

    09.30 or 3.30 PM: Your walking tour begins with a short ascent up to the Cham ruins. Walking along a track bordered by jungle. As we reach the top, the fascinating ruins appear.  While you explore the area and your guide will explain the history of the religious site which served as a burial place for the Cham monarchs many centuries ago.

    11.00 or 17.00 PM: Return to your hotel and finish your tour at the hotel in Hoian.

      Worth going but better organisation is desired

      Unless it was for the tour, we did not go to My Son, so it was worth it. On the otherhand, the tour was quite disorganised: we were waiting for the pick up for nearly an hour so even the hotel receptionists were worried for us. The guide was ok. The trouble was on the way back. After tips were collected, the driver tried to drop us off in the North of Hoi An Old Town although we （and five others）were told that we were taken back to the hotel. We argued that it would take an hour for us to walk back such distance in such heat （My Son was boiling hot and my husband was suffering from heat attack）and other five simply did not know where they were. We were finally dropped off NEARER our hotel. Not hospitable enough.
